About You
We are looking for an individual who is excited to participate in the mission of YFC London by working with our team to connect with existing partners and build relationships with new ones, through sharing the mission of YFC London with the outside community and building long-lasting relationships to carry out the mission accordingly.
Position Summary: The Partner Development Associate will help lead and execute YFC London’s fundraising and partnership strategies to ensure financial sustainability and growth. This role involves cultivating relationships with donors, corporate partners, and foundations, as well as overseeing fundraising campaigns and events. The successful candidate will work closely with the Executive Director, Board of Directors and Partner Relationships Associate to align development efforts with YFC London’s mission and goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising plan, including major gifts, corporate sponsorships, grants, and special events.
- Build and maintain relationships with individual donors, foundations, and corporate partners.
- Oversee donor stewardship and recognition programs to ensure long-term engagement.
- Collaborate with the communications and marketing team, and the Partner Relationships Associate, to create compelling donor materials and campaigns.
- Manage and lead fundraising events, ensuring all events meet financial and engagement goals.
- Prepare grant proposals and reports for foundation and corporate donors.
- Track and analyze fundraising metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of strategies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in fundraising, development, or a related field.
- Proven track record of securing major gifts and building donor relationships.
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Familiarity with fundraising software and donor management systems.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of the nonprofit sector in Ontario.
- Experience with grant writing and reporting.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
Hard Skills:
- Fundraising Expertise: Knowledge of fundraising strategies, donor cultivation, grant writing, and planned giving.
- Data Analysis: Ability to use donor management software to track metrics and inform strategies.
- Marketing & Communications: Support in crafting compelling campaigns, newsletters, and donor appeals.
- Event Planning: Organizing fundraising events that align with organizational goals.
- Financial Acumen: Budget management and understanding ROI for development initiatives.
- Grant Writing: Preparing persuasive proposals for foundation or government grants.
Soft Skills:
- Relationship Building: Strong interpersonal skills to connect with donors, board members, and partners.
- Leadership: Inspiring and motivating teams to achieve fundraising goals.
- Creativity: Thinking innovatively to find new revenue streams or engagement strategies.

Salary
The salary of this position is determined on a scale based on education and experience. The position is funded through the team approach to fundraising utilized by YFC London.
